Description
Design is seen as an artefact, a product or a service. However that is just the beginning of what design is. Design is not limited by its form or function. Design can be informative, innovating, provoking, critiquing or creating a societal change. A speculative design was the starter of a debate during which 40 people could make up their mind about our chosen topic: the rights authorities should have when it comes to population control.
The anti- dogma we addressed is the following: Population growth should be regulated by authorities.
The World Sterilization Program is our final developed concept. A part of the population is forced to undergo sterilization in order to combat overpopulation. The percentage of people summoned for sterilization is determined based on the average annual growth rate of the population per country.
