Though this project was not developed over a long period of time and is not very complicated, I want to show it because I like the message it sends. We are living in an increasingly digital society, and though this provides numerous possibilities, it also has it’s downsides. With this ‘design for debate’ we wanted to make people think of what actually made them feel alive and energized, we wanted to remind them of their roots. The intervention made me realize that design for debate really interests me. Creating an intervention in a person’s everyday’s life that makes them stop and think for a second shows how much positive influence you can have as a designer. I like speculating on how technology might influence us in the future and think more of us should be aware of the possibilities.
