Description

The goal of this project was to create a design that helped elderly to stay connected to each other outside of the hours of an elderly meeting centre. The main focus in this course was the close contact with the user. Several interviews and co-design sessions have allowed us to tailor the design closely to the user. The importance of a good connection and communication with the user was my main learning point during this project. The final design has the shape and function of a mailbox. It is situated in each elderly’s home. Elderly can send each other invitations to meet outside of the meeting centre’s hours to have a cup of tea, play a game or do another activity together.
