Description

Professional gaming, also known as e-sports, has become increasingly popular. In this project we focused on hearing-impaired e-sport participants. They are not able to hear where sound is coming from when playing a game, like an average player would. We therefore used other senses to let them know in which area of the game they should direct their attention to. The headband seen on the right contains vibrating motors that will vibrate when a sound is detected in that particular direction. In this way, the e-sports participant can detect sounds where other players would hear them, allowing them to play at the same level as hearing participants.
